Recoat Roof Stix is an innovative product designed for the efficient treatment of roofs. It provides excellent insulation and adhesion when applied correctly. Paying attention to the substrate is crucial for the best results.

Substrate Preparation: A thorough assessment of the substrate is essential for successful application. Ensure that the surface is:

  • Clean
  • Dry and load-bearing
  • Free from dust, moss, and algae
  • Grease-free

Prior to application, we recommend thoroughly vacuuming the roof after cleaning. This ensures that all fine dust is removed from the pores, contributing to optimal adhesion of the product.

Application Instructions:

  • Apply Recoat Roof Stix in the correct amount; avoid thick layers. A thick layer can lead to poor adhesion and insulation.
  • The product is designed to penetrate deeply into the pores of the substrate and anchor itself there.
  • When used on bitumen, Recoat Roof Stix may exhibit a brown discoloration; this is normal and indicates that the product is providing good insulation.
  • After a drying time of 1 to 2 hours, the roof can be finished with Recoat Roof (see TDS Recoat Roof).

Important Warning: Applying too thick layers may prevent the product from drying quickly enough, resulting in poor adhesion and insulation.

Application Advice:

  • Always create a test patch before application.
  • Apply the entire system on the same day to avoid having to clean again on a different day.

With Recoat Roof Stix, you can be assured of a durable and effective treatment for your roof. Ensure proper preparation and follow our instructions for the best results.

Assessment of the Substrate

A proper assessment of the substrate is essential for a successful result. Ensure that the substrate is clean, dry, and load-bearing. It must be free from green growth, moss, oil, grease, salts, and other contaminants.

Pre-Treatment of the Substrate

Pre-treat the substrate with Recoat Roof Stix. This primer ensures optimal adhesion of the Recoat Roof coating.

Application of Recoat Roof

After the primer has dried, which takes approximately one hour, you can apply Recoat Roof. This can be done using either a roller or an airless spray system.

Product Preparation

Before use, the product should be mechanically stirred. It is advisable to apply the entire system in one day. This prevents cleaning work between layers.

Recoat Roof is an advanced, fiber-reinforced roof coating based on a 1-component acrylic dispersion. Thanks to its elastic composition, the coating remains flexible without hardening from UV exposure, providing long-lasting waterproofing. The fiber reinforcement allows for a thinner layer to be applied without compromising protection. When used with Recoat Roof Stix, Recoat Roof creates an easy-to-use, highly durable roof system for effective roof maintenance.

Benefits of Recoat Roof:

  • Silicone-Free: easily repaintable for future maintenance
  • Minimal Dirt Adhesion: the roof surface is self-cleaning through rain
  • Energy Savings: reduces roof temperature, keeping indoor temperatures cooler and lowering the need for air conditioning
  • Solar Energy Optimization: white roofs reflect sunlight, keeping the roof cool and minimizing power loss in solar panels. This reflection is partially absorbed by the solar panels, resulting in higher energy output compared to black roofs.
  • Quick Application: the entire system can be applied within 3 hours after cleaning
  • PFAS-Free: an environmentally friendly choice
  • The unique coating is reinforced with specialised fibres that ensure optimal strength and less material consumption.

Recoat Roof is suitable for airless spray equipment or can be applied with a roller. With the correct spray equipment, there is minimal overspray.

Optimize your roof with Recoat Roof for sustainable protection, increased solar energy production, and lower maintenance costs.
